Our People
Hear, Here would not be possible without the hard work of two classes of University of Guelph students, who worked together with our project managers and web designer. Over two semesters, they conducted and edited interviews, developed content for the website, designed signage and promotional materials, organized the digital archive, photographed, tested the tours, and engaged the public during two launch events. Their efforts and talents brought the Hear, Here Arboretum Project to life.
Olivia Afonso is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph, currently working towards her Bachelor of Arts in Culture & Technology Studies and minoring in Arts Management.
Miriam Al Sari is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph, currently working towards her Bachelor of Psychology and History
Miar Alfarra is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph. She is currently working towards her Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology.
Robin Bergart is a user experience librarian with interests in oral history and photography, and contributed much of the photography for Hear, Here.
Lauren Budey recently graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Lauren is currently working full time and plans to return to complete a Masters program at the University of Guelph.
Susane Dang is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph and is completing a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Culture and Technology Studies.
Gracy Go is Kim Martin’s research assistant and one of the project managers of Hear, Here Arboretum. She is working towards a Master of Arts degree in History.
W. Alex Goddard is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph, working towards a Bachelor of Arts double major in Political Science (co-op) and History.
Kelly Hughes is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph, working toward a Bachelor of Arts double major in History and Culture & Technology Studies. She is the Hear, Here Project Manager for the summer of 2023.
Jingyi Long is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph. She is currently working towards her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Media and Cinema Studies, Biotechnology, and Molecular Biology and Genetics.
Arshdeep Loodoo is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph, she is working towards completing her Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology.
Rachel Lowenberg is an environmental activist and an undergraduate co-op student at the University of Guelph, currently completing her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science.
Kim Martin is an Assistant Professor of History at the University of Guelph and a co-creator of the Culture & Technology Studies program. She loves working on public humanities projects and is thrilled about being able to contribute to the Hear, Here oral history collection through her teaching.
Amy Moffat is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph, currently working towards her Bachelor of Arts in History
Jessie Pajak is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph working towards her Bachelor of Arts and majoring in Culture & Technology Studies.
Jacquelyn Passarelli is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph and is working towards completing a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Culture and Technology Studies with a minor in Human Resources.
Muhammad Salmaan is an undergraduate student at the University of Guelph and is working towards completing an Honours Bachelor of Computing, majoring in Software Engineering.
Hannah Siebert-Dingle is a graduate of the University of Guelph with a Bachelors degree in Computing and a Minor in Studio Art.
Sanjot Takhar is a undergraudate student at the University of Guelph. She is working towards completing her Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology.
